The 2027 Window Is Open, And Demand Is Already Building
Right now, Crusaders Global Academy Director of High Performance Grant Keenan is on the ground across North America, running At Your Facility sessions with Growth Partners from coast to coast.
This year's tour has taken him from American University in Washington, D.C., through Raleigh, Miami University in Ohio, and Thomas More University in Kentucky. From there, west to Arizona and into Northern California: Silicon Valley Rugby, Stanford University, and Saint Mary's College. A full fall calendar, back to back, before he heads home to Christchurch.
What actually happens on a visit
At each stop, Grant works directly alongside the program's own coaching staff rather than replacing them for the day.
On the player side, sessions cover technical development, tactical awareness, and rugby IQ: safe and effective tackle technique, attack and defensive breakdown fundamentals, attack shape under pressure, defensive roles and structures, and position-specific, game-based scenarios built around how that team actually plays.
On the coaching side, Grant builds out the staff's own toolbox: training plan design, coaching delivery, and game and opposition analysis. It's grounded in the same culture and leadership principles the players are learning, so it carries through the whole program rather than stopping when he leaves.
Every visit is planned ahead of time with the program's leadership, so which sessions run, how time splits across players, coaches, and staff, and what success looks like are all dialed in before Grant ever arrives.
Why 2027 is the moment to move
Grant's on-site time each fall is finite, and it fills on a first-committed basis. The programs on this tour didn't wait until September to lock in their dates. They started the conversation 6+ months out, while the calendar still had room to work around their season.
The 2027 September/October window is open now, and it's the only touring window CGA runs each year. Once it's built, it's built. Programs that inquire early get first pick of dates; the rest work around what's left.
